RU Active Dubai (“RU Active”, “we”, “us”) provides sports medicine, physiotherapy, osteopathy, podiatry and rehabilitation from two clinics in Dubai:When you request an appointment on our website: your name, email address, phone number, preferred clinic, service, preferred clinician, preferred date and anything you tell us in your message.
When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email: your contact details and the content of your messages.
When you become a patient: the information we need to care for you, including your medical history, symptoms, assessment and treatment notes, test results (such as VALD or running gait assessments), and your payment and insurance details.
When you browse our website: basic technical information such as your device, browser, the pages you visit and your approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see section 5).
Information about your health is sensitive, and we treat it that way. We only collect what we need to care for you, access is limited to the clinical and administrative team involved in your care, and we keep medical records in line with UAE health data law, including Federal Law No. 2 of 2019 on the use of information and communication technology in health fields, and Dubai Health Authority requirements.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Tag Manager and Google analytics tools, to understand how visitors use the site. Our patient reviews are shown using Trustindex, which displays Google reviews, and our chat button connects you to WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. These services may set their own cookies and handle data under their own privacy policies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work.
We keep clinical records for as long as UAE law and Dubai Health Authority rules require. Enquiries and appointment requests that don’t lead to treatment are kept only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our reasonable business records.
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and secure systems. No way of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please don’t include detailed medical information in the website form. You can share it with your clinician at your appointment.
We treat young athletes and other patients under 18. For these patients, we collect information from, and communicate with, a parent or legal guardian, who must consent to treatment.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. See also our Terms & Conditions.
